Bybit Review (2026)

Bybit is currently one of the most popular cryptocurrency exchanges among both beginner and experienced traders. Founded in 2018, Bybit has grown into the second largest crypto exchange in the world by daily trading volume, with more than 72 million registered users worldwide and approximately $30 billion in daily trading volume.

This exchange has an intuitive user interface that makes it easy for traders to trade quickly and efficiently. The exchange can handle up to 100,000 transactions per second, something competitors struggle with during busy periods.

In this Bybit review, we dive deeper into this exchange and provide you with the information you need to understand Bybit. At the end of the review, you can decide for yourself whether this is a suitable exchange for you.

Guide how to trade Futures with Bybit?

As we mentioned earlier in this Bybit review, trading with leverage is very risky and only suitable for experienced investors. We have written a tutorial on how Bybit works, but make sure you know what you are doing. Start with a demo account before trading with real money.

How to register an account?

It is mandatory to register an account before you can use the Bybit platform. KYC verification is required for all users. The registration process is very simple:

  1. Go to the registration page on bybit.com (or bybit.eu for European users).
  2. Fill in the required fields.
  3. Enter the referral code: 2950
  4. Read the terms and conditions and click Sign Up.
  5. Complete KYC verification: upload your ID card or passport and take a selfie.
  6. Immediately after verification, you can use your demo account or deposit funds.

How to deposit fiat or crypto?

You can easily deposit funds via SEPA bank transfer, Wero, credit card, or deposit crypto directly.

Depositing fiat (EUR):

  1. Go to Buy Crypto and click on FIAT Deposit.
  2. Select EUR for euro.
  3. Enter how much you want to deposit and select your preferred payment method.
  4. Select credit card, PayPal, Wero or bank transfer as payment provider (EU). Other regions may have different options.
  5. KYC must be completed before you can deposit.

Depositing crypto:

  1. Log in to Bybit and click on My Assets.
  2. Click on Deposit behind the coin you want to deposit. A popup will open with a unique wallet address.
  3. Either scan the QR code or copy the deposit address.
  4. Go to your wallet where your crypto is stored and paste the deposit address. Double-check that the address matches completely.
  5. Enter the amount you want to send and click Confirm.

After depositing funds, you can start trading on Bybit right away.

How to place an order?

  1. Make sure you are logged in and go to Trade.
  2. Select the desired trading pair (e.g. BTC/USDT or ETH/EUR).
  3. Choose the order type: Limit, Market or Conditional.
  4. For margin trading: choose between Cross or Isolated margin and set the leverage.
  5. Enter the desired price and amount.
  6. Click Buy or Sell to place the order.
  7. Always set a stop loss and take profit to limit your risk.

How to open a long or short position?

  1. Log in and navigate to the top left corner. Click Trade and select the desired contract.
  2. Select the type of order you want to place at the top-right corner: Limit, Market or Conditional.
  3. Below that, you can choose between Cross or Isolated. When you choose Cross, the margin will be shared between all your open positions. With Isolated, the margin will be restricted to a chosen amount.
  4. If you are using Isolated, set up the leverage on the slider scale. It is not wise to use a leverage higher than 10x.
  5. In the Order Price field, enter the price when your order needs to be executed.
  6. Below that, you can use the slider to assign an amount to your order.
  7. Select Buy/Long. A popup with a summary of your trade details will appear.
  8. Click Confirm if you agree.

To open a Short position, you can do the same but click the Sell/Short button.

Never forget to set up a Stop Loss (and a Take Profit). You can do so by clicking on Buy Long/Sell Short with TP/SL.
